lighting / sustainability / prototyping / manufacturing / product development / project management / fall 2022
Ambi Lighting began as a small business project in a college studio class. Our assignment involved developing a small batch of a product of our choice. Inspired by our appreciation for interior spaces, we decided to explore home goods. We collectively recognized that lighting has the most emotional impact on toning a room.
We worked together to combine our best skills. Ellen applied her methodical approach to research + defined the context of our lamp in the local market. Katie documented the process + curated the brand visuals that would highlight the beauty of our lamp. I guided product development through numerous experiments + a process of trail + error.
We were able to sell our entire batch within just two days at a student-led pop-up shop, a success we attribute to our hard-earned skills + effective communication as a team.
