Gaia is a compostable lamp made from Coffiber, a material I developed using repurposed coffee grounds.
Born from extensive experimentation, Gaia was designed during my final semester at the University of Cincinnati. My goal was to create a fully compostable material and demonstrate its potential through a functional lamp design.
Gaia has been recognized as the winner of the Table Lamp – Student Category in the L A M P 2024 International Lighting Design Competition and is featured on Design Milk and Ambientes Revista!
